Who we are and acceptance
Mailvesper is developed by APDSoftware, based at Via C. Colombo 15, 24047 Treviglio (BG), Italy — VAT no. (P.IVA) 03835250162, REA BG 431224. Contact: [email protected].
By installing or using Mailvesper you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the program. How APDSoftware handles data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
What Mailvesper is
Mailvesper is a computer program (Windows, macOS, Linux) that lets you read, write and organise the mail of one or more accounts you already have with a provider (for example Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or an IMAP/SMTP server).
Mailvesper is not a mail service: APDSoftware does not provide mailboxes, does not store your messages and is not a party to the relationship between you and your provider.
Licence to use
APDSoftware grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Mailvesper on your computers, for personal or professional purposes. Unless a different licence is provided with the source code, you may not resell the program, redistribute it as your own or present it under another name without APDSoftware’s written consent.
Accounts and third-party services
To use a Gmail, Outlook or other provider account you must also follow their terms and rules. Access to Google or Microsoft services happens with your authorisation, on the providers’ own pages, and you can revoke it at any time from your account settings with them.
Provider services are supplied by the providers, not by APDSoftware: sending limits, account suspensions or outages are up to them.
What we ask of you
- Use Mailvesper only with accounts that are yours or that you are allowed to access.
- Keep your credentials, and the computer where they are stored, safe.
- Do not use the program to send spam, unlawful or deceptive messages, or to infringe others’ rights or your providers’ rules.
- Do not try to bypass the security measures of the program or of the services it connects to.
You are responsible for the messages you write and send and for how you use the program.
Status of the program and no warranty
Mailvesper is under development and is provided free of charge “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, APDSoftware gives no warranty of uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose.
Some actions, such as deleting a message, act on your mailbox at the provider and may not be reversible. Your mail stays on your provider’s servers, but keep whatever backups you consider necessary.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, APDSoftware is not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of, or inability to use, Mailvesper. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights that the law grants consumers and that cannot be waived.
Intellectual property and third-party components
The Mailvesper name, logo and program remain APDSoftware’s. Mailvesper uses third-party software components, each under its own licence. The names and marks of Gmail, Google, Microsoft, Outlook, Apple and iCloud belong to their respective owners and are mentioned only to indicate compatible services: APDSoftware is not affiliated with them.
Changes and termination
APDSoftware may change, suspend or discontinue Mailvesper and may update these Terms: the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update. If you keep using the program after a change, you accept the new version. You can stop using Mailvesper at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with a business user the courts of Bergamo have jurisdiction; for consumers, the mandatory rules on the courts of their place of residence or domicile remain unaffected.
