We have been doing IT consulting for companies since 2013. Today we are restarting with a clearer direction: we build custom software and, alongside it, products of our own. Statuo, Postqron and MacMeter are already available, and Mailvesper is in development. Here is why we chose to work this way.
1. A product is the most honest way to show how we work
Presenting yourself with a list of skills is easy. Publishing a product that anyone can try, read and judge is harder, and that is exactly why it is more useful to someone choosing a supplier. An online product shows how we design an interface, how we handle security, how we write documentation and how we respond when something breaks.
2. Building and running software ourselves changes how we design it
When the software is ours, there is nobody to pass the problems on to: backups, updates, monitoring and support are our job. It is the same approach we bring to custom projects: thinking from day one about what happens after release, not just what we deliver on acceptance day.
3. Our products come from real problems
None of our products started from a market survey. They come from annoyances we meet at work: the client who finds out before you do that their site is down, cron jobs that fail silently, a Mac that slows down without saying why. They are small, concrete problems, the kind of thing custom software solves well.
4. What changes for those who hand us a project
Whoever works with us gets a partner who has already made, on the same topics, the mistakes everyone makes the first time, and who keeps tools running in production every day. We don't sell off-the-shelf products instead of custom software: the two worlds live side by side, and each improves the other.
If you have a problem that no ready-made software solves, tell us about it: the first consultation is free and we will tell you frankly whether and how we can help.
