Data in the app
MacMeter reads only data from your Mac (processor, memory, network, disk, GPU, sensors, battery and Bluetooth accessories) to display it to you. It sends nothing to external servers, requires no account, and contains no analytics or advertising tools.
- Bluetooth permission: used only to read accessory battery levels.
- Location permission: required by macOS to show the Wi-Fi network name; MacMeter never reads or stores your location.
- Notifications: only if you turn alerts on.
Settings and the license key are stored only on your Mac.
Data when you buy a license
Payment is handled by Paddle, acting as merchant of record, which processes payment data under its own privacy policy. APDSoftware never receives your card details.
From Paddle we receive the email address used for the purchase and the transaction id, which we use to generate your license key, email it to you, and handle support and refunds (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract). We keep only the email, the transaction id and the issue date, for as long as needed for support and tax and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure and portability of your data by writing to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. The license key contains your email: erasing that data means the key can no longer be re-issued. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante) or the authority of your country.
Changes
If this notice changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. See also the Terms and the Refund Policy.
